Three Cosmic Messages (Lesson 7) A Companion in Tribulation Day 6: The Creator on the Cross
BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD! Have you seen Him? Have you seen the Lamb on the cross? Once we get a glimpse of the Lamb of God hanging on that cross, the mystery of redemption begins to unfold in our minds. And as we see the goodness and mercy of God, it leads us to repent, turn away from sin and the things of the world and turn to Him.
In the context of the three angels’ messages in Revelation 14, we look at Jesus as our creator and redeemer.

Seeking God’s Help
Holy Father, help us behold Jesus, our Creator, on the Cross. Give us a greater appreciation of what he has done for us. In Jesus’ Name Amen
Although we may stand at amaze when we think of God as our creator. There is more to the story. As expressed in the previous video, God is not only our creator, but He is also our Redeemer. The God who made us is the God who saves us. This same God who said in Genesis 1:26 “ “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (Genesis 1:26). (Split)
Is the same God that in Matthew 27:46 says
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Matthew 27:46).
Jesus created us, and He died to save us. What better reason do we have to fear God and give glory in our praise and worship?
What more can we do as fallen human beings in response to what God has done for us?
This is why the angel in Revelation 14:7 calls for us to “ ‘Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water’ ” (Revelation 14:7).
John, a disciple of Jesus, writes about Jesus’ experience on the cross in John 19:16–30. As you read the incident, think about the fact that this man on the cross is the one who created us.
16 Then he delivered Him to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus and led Him away.
17 And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha,
18 where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center.
19 Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
20 Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.
21 Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘He said, “I am the King of the Jews.” ’ ”
22 Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top in one piece.
24 They said therefore among themselves, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: “They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.” Therefore the soldiers did these things.
25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
26 When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!”
27 Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.
28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!”
29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.
30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. (John 19:16-30) (Split)
This man who died on the cross is God, He created us.
For Paul in Colossians 1:16
16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. (Colossians 1:16).
So then, How do we respond to such love?
This First Angel’s Message in Revelations 14 commands us to worship the One who made us.
Note that the first angel gives this command after Jesus had already died on the cross. It was given after His followers on earth knew that Jesus, as expressed in Revelation 14:7 “made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water” (Split)
He is also the same One who, though being God, according to Philippians 2:7, took “the form of a bondservant, and [came] in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:7, 8,). (Spllit)
BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD! Have you seen Him? Have you seen Him on the cross? Do you see the mystery of redemption unfolding in your mind? Do you see His goodness and mercy? Does it lead you to repent? Then turn away from sin and the things of the world and turn to Him. Worship Him who created the heavens and earth.
