BOOK YOUR RESERVATIONS NOW: It is God’s masterpiece. It was built for the people who will live forever. This city is without the troubles that exist in our world as we know it today. Where is this city? And how can we reserve a place in it?
We have been looking at how to manage the money and resources God has given us successfully. We have determined that successfully managing money and possessions involves getting our priorities straight. In setting our priorities, we must put God first in everything we do and value people and relationships with others over money and possessions.
Like everything else, when it comes to living eternally, we must have faith and trust in God for our eternal salvation. Though we are not saved by the good that we do, yet from examining the Bible, we find that as faithful managers of His resources, God expects us to do good.
Thus, we now look at what God has promised us and the assurance that we will get what He has promised.

Asking God for Help
Father, through the blood of Jesus and what he did on the cross, we humbly submit our reservations. Help us not to, by our own action, cancel it. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
Abraham, the father of the faithful, was allowed to get a view of this Masterpiece of God, this city called the New Jerusalem.
Hebrews 11:10 tells us that.
“… He looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God” (Hebrews 11:10)
Did you hear that?
God is the builder and maker of this city. The New Jerusalem is designed by God and built by Him.
He proposedly built this city for the people who love and obey Him. This city is reserved for the faithful. To live in this city, you must make your reservations now.
The people of God will live in the New Jerusalem in heaven for 1,000 years. God will destroy this earth and all of the evils that exist in it.
After this earth is destroyed, He will then make a new one. Then he will move the New Jerusalem, the Holy City, the City, to earth. It will be the place where God’s people will live forever.
There will be no need to pack because God takes care of everything!
John in Revelation 21:2 says he saw the city:
“Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband” (Revelation 21:2).
To learn more about some of the things God has promised us in this city: read Revelation 21.
Honestly speaking, there is much that our minds cannot understand or comprehend. Damage by sin, it is difficult for us to grasp the idea of living in a perfect world without sin.
But the little that we do understand gives us hope!
Jesus will live with us on the new earth, just as He lived on this earth at His First Coming. During His First Coming, people saw Jesus face-to-face.
We will also be able to see Him face-to-face, but this time we will be able to see him in all of His glory with no veil between us.
We will no longer be slaves to sin, for sin in all of its components and those who preferred sin over living righteously will be completely destroyed. It will be as though they never existed.
Yes, it is difficult to comprehend life without with tears, sorrow, crying, and pain, but Revelation 21:4 tells us that ‘And God will wipe away every tear from Our eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).
Then Revelations 22 tells of a river of life flowing from the throne of God! Can you imagine?
It tells of the tree of life, which grows on both sides of the river.
Revelation 22:4 says that we will “see his face”
4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. (Revelation 22:4).
Again, the saved, those who have accepted Jesus as their savior, are promised that they will live with God eternally.
We will know Him in a way that we have never known him before.
In contrast, Revelation 21:8 talks about the sins done by the ones who will die the second death,
8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8)
However, some people who did these same sins are saved. How are the two groups different?
One group made their reservation by accepting Jesus, acknowledging their sins, confessing them, and asking God to forgive them for their sins.
We are promised in 1 John 1:9
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
If you have not confessed your sins, ask God to forgive you and accepted His Son, Jesus’ death on the cross, as the sacrifice for your sins. The time to make your reservations is now!
So, although some may have done the same as those listed in Revelation 21:8, they made their reservation by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
Thus we are saved by His grace. God’s grace. Whereas the others made a conscious choice not to turn away from sin and accept the gift God offered to them in the merits of His son.
Some in the other group made their reservations to enter the City of God, and while on this earth, they were given the resources they needed to remain faithful, but they defaulted on their reservations. What happened? Find out in Day 5: The Settling of Accounts
