TWO MAJOR GLOBALIZED WARNINGS! The Bible is filled with warnings of what will happen in the end-times many of which we see occurring rapidly before our very eyes! How can we know, recognize, and discern them?

This series addresses the concerns we all have: the concern for sin, evil, death, dying, and what happens after we die. Is there hope after death? When God created us, humans, he intended for us to live forever in a loving, peaceful relationship with him. But this relationship has been broken by sin.

Here, we address the origin of sin and look more closely at death and dying.

But, instead of looking at death negatively, we look at it in the context of hope, the promised hope based on what Jesus did for us when he died and came back to life again. (Split)

Asking for God’s Help

Holy Father, you have provided the road map for us to follow; however, many refuse to use it. Let us not be among that number. Instead, help us cast aside the doctrines and traditions of men, and give us an open mind to receive what you have to offer through your GPS the Bible. In Jesus’ Name Amen

The book of Revelation tells of two major “worldwide” messages of warnings prior to the second coming of Christ.

Both are found in Revelation 13 and Revelation 14. Revelation 13 talks about a global false message that nearly the entire world will believe, whereby  “all the world” will worship and follow the beast. (Split)

Revelation 13:3

3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.

7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.

8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:7-8)

12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. (Revelation 13:12)

16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, (Revelation 13:16).

Revelation 14 underscores the worldwide message of Bible truth. Revelation 14:6, 7 speaks of the “everlasting gospel” that will be preached “to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people”

6 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—

7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” (Revelation. 14:6, 7, NKJV).

These will be “distressing times” according to 2 Timothy 3:1 in which “every wind of doctrine” will be blowing as expressed in Ephesians 4:14. And according to 2 Timothy 4:4 people will turn their ears away from the truth and adhere to fables.

For instance, “Through the two great errors, the immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions. While the former lays the foundation of spiritualism, the latter creates a bond of sympathy with Rome.”—Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 588.

Thus, Paul in I Thessalonians 5:23 declares “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23, NKJV).

Therefore, to escape these false teachings, the admonishment is: Until these final events unfold, we must remain firm in our belief in all the truth as it is written in the word of God the Bible, which includes the nature of humanity. As we have discovered in previous lessons, the Bible establishes that we are mortal beings, who at death remain resting in the grave until Jesus comes. Therefore, let us seek to be guided by the Word of God, the Bible, and the Power of the Holy Spirit, with the purpose of being ready for Christ’s glorious return.

For, If we are fighting in the strength of the Mighty One, we are on the side that will win at last. In the end we shall conquer.

The greatest work, the most perilous scenes are before us. The deadly conflict we must meet. The question is: Are we prepared for it?

God is still speaking to the children of men. He is speaking in many different ways. Will they hear His voice? Will we place our hands confidingly in His and say, “Lead me, guide me”?

Cheap religion is in abundance, but there is no such thing as cheap Christianity. Self and selfishness may play a big role in a false religion, but they cannot appear in the Christian experience.

You are workers together with God. “Without Me,” said Christ, “ye can do nothing.”—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, p. 339.

Hence Jesus is our perfect model. He was a perfect human being. How can we pattern our lives after him? Find out tomorrow, Day 2: The Model of Jesus
