BIBLE PREDICTIONS. Did you know that the Bible predicts the exact year Jesus would begin his work on earth, and it predicts the exact year He would die? Not only that, but it also predicts the exact time Judgement would begin for the people of God. God does not leave us in darkness.

We continue looking at the Judgement from a mathematical perspective. We do this using Daniel and Revelation in the context of the three angels’ messages in Revelation 14.

These messages make up the core of the gospel of Jesus Christ and are the present truth for our time.

Seeking God’s Presence

Heavenly Father, if we desire to know and be led by you, you do not leave us in darkness. Open our eyes that we might see. In Jesus’ Name Amen

As expressed previously. The first part of the 2,300-year prophecy found in Daniel 8 is the 70 weeks or 490 years.

2300-year prophecy

70 x 7 = 490

The 490 years reveal the mathematical timeline of Jewish history starting from 457 B.C.

With complete accuracy, this timeline predicted what would happen to the Jews. The 490 years start from the rebuilding of Jerusalem and extended to the time Jesus died on the cross. In this mathematical timeline, the last part of the 2,300 years applies to God’s people, those who accept Jesus as the Messiah. This last part of the timeline reveals to us that God will cleanse His temple, and it lets us know that Jesus will come back to this earth again upon its cleansing.

You see, the 490 years are about Jesus coming for the first time. The 490 years ended in A.D. 34.

When we subtract 490 years from 2,300 years, what is left?  Yes, we are left with 1,810 years. The 1,810 years are about what will happen to God’s people at the conclusion of the 490 years.

Stephen a disciple of Jesus, was killed by stoning in A.D. 34. This marked the end of the prophecy related specifically to the Jews, and It marked the beginning of the prophecy related to all God’s people, this includes everyone who accepts Christ as their sacrificial lamb.

457 B.C. (decree to build and restore Jerusalem)

à AD 27 (Christ began his ministry

= 483 years

A.D. 34 Stoning of Stephen

= 490 years (Ends the time for the Jews)

So, if we start at A.D. 34 and add 1,810 years, we come to A.D. 1844. This is a time when God proceeds with the cleansing or restoration of the truth that has been cast down. It is a restoration of truth about His sanctuary and the end-time judgment of His people.

Going back to Revelation 14, specifically Revelation 14:6, 7, we find that God makes His final appeal to save all humanity.

6 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—

7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” (Revelation 14:6-7)

In his final appeal, God includes an announcement about His work as Judge in the end times. His desire is for all humanity to respond to His love, accept His mercy and His grace. He also commands every who is alive in the end times to return to purity and obey his commandments.

Leviticus 16:16 help us understand why it is necessary for God to cleanse his sanctuary or holy temple.

16 So he shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, for all their sins; and so he shall do for the tabernacle of meeting which remains among them in the midst of their uncleanness. (Leviticus 16:16)

The holy sanctuary or temple on earth was where the animals were sacrificed for the sins of the people. It was a model for God’s sanctuary in heaven. The earthly temple had to be cleansed because the sins of the people polluted it. It was therefore made unclean.

And only with the blood of animals could it be cleansed from the sins of the people. Therefore, on the Day of Atonement, an animal was sacrificed to symbolize the cleansing of the sanctuary. The same is true for us. We need a Savior, one who could be offered for our sins. It is our Savior who makes it possible for us to come through the time of judgment. Jesus is our sacrifice.

So, in the Old Testament, animal offerings were killed on the day called the Day of Atonement. It is also referred to as Yom Kippur. This was a time when everything in the sanctuary was made clean. These animal offerings are symbolic of Jesus’ life and his death on the cross.

Leviticus 23:26–29 lets us know that in Old Testament times, on the Day of Atonement, God commanded His people to “afflict their souls.”

26 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

27 “Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.

28 And you shall do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the Lord your God.

29 For any person who is not afflicted in soul on that same day shall be cut off from his people. (Leviticus 23:26–29)

In other words, it was necessary for God’s people to show God that they were sorry for their sins. The expression “afflict their souls” indicated that God expected them to humble themselves and empty their hearts of all pride. They were to examine their hearts, confess their sins, repent of their wrongdoings, turn away from sin, and ask God to make them clean.

The people did these things as the high priest was cleansing the sanctuary.

The prophetic chapters of Daniel 7–9 and Revelation 14 focus primarily on the Judgment time before Jesus returns.  The urgent appeal is to prepare. Based on the mathematical timeline that has demonstrated its complete accuracy, the 2300 years ended in 1844.

Therefore, since 1844, we have been living in the judgment hour. Revelation’s message of the first angel proclaimed in Revelation 14:7 says, “ ‘The hour of His judgment has come’ ” (Revelation 14:7, NKJV). Now I ask, Should not we now be “afflicting our souls”?
