YOU ARE INVITED TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE ROYAL FAMILY.

Did you know you can become a member of the royal family?  You can become sons and daughters of the King. In this Family, you are Royalty. You have an inheritance waiting for you. How can you obtain it?

In the context of the three angels’ messages in Revelation 14, we look at the process of becoming a member of the Royal Family.

Seeking God’s Presence

Holy Father, you offer us the privilege of becoming a member of your royal family. Open our hearts to extend our hands to accept your offer. In Jesus’ Name Amen

When we look at the three Angel’s Messages in Revelation 14, the First Angel’s Message address three things: (1) the Good News about Jesus,

(2) the teaching that it’s time for God to judge all people, and

(3) the command to worship God because He made us.

The call is an invitation for us to become a member of God’s Royal Family. This angel also indicates that we must stand before the Father and be judged according to our works.

However, the Good News is that our hope of becoming a member of God’s Royal Family is through his son Jesus.  This is the point that Paul makes in Romans 8:1 when he says:

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:1).

When we accept Jesus, the one who created us, when we accept him as our sacrifice and our savior, we can face the judgment with certainty and live now as royalty.

But the aim of our enemy is to strip us of our royalty. It is his purpose to eradicate the idea of Jesus as our creator and redeemer. The message about God as our creator is important. It is especially significant in our day.

You see, as indicated in our previous lesson, the theory of Evolution, which maintains that life started by accident, strips us of the idea that God is our creator. It goes against the teaching of the Bible that indicates that God created us human beings on the sixth day of creation.

Instead, evolution maintains that we were not created by design but came about by accident. Even worse, for those attempting to mix it with the teaching of the Bible, it strikes at the very foundation of our Christian faith.

This is why God has a church in these last days: the Seventh-day Adventist Church that keeps the Seventh-day Sabbath. The Sabbath is a reminder that God created heaven and earth in six literal days and rested on the seventh day. It helps us remember that God made us.

Thus, resting on the Sabbath, the seventh day, reminds us of our creator, and it helps us to see that evolution is a false science. When we acknowledge God as our creator it opens the door for us to become a member of God’s Royal Family through his son Jesus.

The following verse, in contrast to evolution, maintains that Jesus is our creator and redeemer.

Ephesians 3:9

9 and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; (Ephesians 3:9)

Colossians 1:13-17

13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. (Colossians 1:13-17)

Revelation 4:11

11 “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” (Revelation 4:11)

Romans 5:17-19

17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.

19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. (Romans 5:17-19)

Paul helps us to see that sin is inseparably linked to Adam’s disobedience, and the elimination of sin is inseparably linked to Jesus’s righteousness and his death on the cross.

However, if we go with the evolutionary theory, it refutes that Adam introduced sin and death. The evolutionary model maintains that sin and death developed over millions of years. It asserts that it was this force of power that brought Adam into existence.

But, the concept that Jesus created us is intricately intertwined with the idea that Jesus is our Savior. He is our Redeemer.

Consequently, when we diminish Jesus’s role as Creator, as the theory of evolution does, then His role as our Redeemer is called into question.

However, because of the sin of Adam, Jesus came into this world to save us from suffering, sin, and death. Through Him, we are thus adopted into the family of God. When we accept him as our redeemer, we become Royalty.

The call for the world to worship the Creator stands as a living witness against the error of our origin and our membership in the Royal Family of God.

It says in Testimonies for the Church vol. 6:

We may become the sons of God, members of the royal family, children of the heavenly King…all who accept Jesus Christ and hold the beginning of their confidence firm to the end will be heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.—Testimonies for the Church, vol. 6, p. 59.

So, once we get beyond the idea of evolution, we see an interesting concept. We find that we have no power within ourselves to become a member of the Royal Family. It is not what we have done but all of what Jesus has done. What did He do?
